Managing Director Rob Wilson

Rob Wilson’s career has taken him across the length and breadth of Australia working at senior levels in some of Australia’s leading five star hotels, function centres and catering companies.

In addition to extensive experience in event management and hospitality including function manager, Maitre D’hôtel and restaurant manager, Rob has trained as a butler and has performed silver service and white glove service duty on royal and vice regal occasions.

“There are so many little details in creating a truly first class wedding event that brides and their families couldn’t possibly be expected to know,“ he says.

“My reason for establishing House of Distinction was to help brides plan their once in a lifetime occasion and to ensure that their wedding day goes smoothly.”

Rob’s fondest wedding planning experience was for his own wedding in 1992.
